I think much of it you have answered yourself, Public pressure is tugging at him, he sees not the error in his ways, but the public approval of his handling of the Iraqi situation, I think that you might have left out the members of his own party, the repuglicans are in trouble. There is a real danger of them losing control of the house. Maybe even the Senate, best case scenario there is going to be a 50/50 split. I think these people are also putting pressure on him. Maybe have been wrong about him all this time, he will change his mind. If you hit him with a big enough 2x4.

The timetable will be decided between the USA and the Iraqi (top officials ) government and not be disclosed to the public so it will aid the terrorists. That is unless some left wing fascist gets it and tells the New York Times. I think you are getting your HOPES up that we have lost in Iraq. This timetable is part of changing our tactics in Iraq. Looks as though, you and others, are going to keep your pom poms and terrorist yell routines out for continued use.

Bush is "staying the course", which of course means he will sell out anything or anybody at the drop of a hat to further his political ambitions. Thousands of GIs have needlessly died in the furtherance of Republican political expediency over they last several years, and only now when the American public is prepared to throw the Republicans out for their inept leadership is Bush even considering a change in tactics. If he announces a military pullout prior to the elections, it would be the worst possible insult to the heroes who died in the middle east, because it would be an affirmation that Bush kept us in Iraq for no useful purpose except war profittering and political expediency.

Not happy he lost because we knew he was going to lose. Their was never any question about that. I would be happy to get the troops out as we are going to have 100 dead this month! Probably more!
It was an illegal war and Bush should go to jail!

You are not privy to what the combat plans are in iraq and all you base your theories on is what you read in the news, which has been 180 degrees out of reality since the beginning. The NY times is a terrorist organization.
