I have been boycotting Wal-Mart for years. Not because of sending money to China but because I have had way too many bad experiences at the one I go to. It's the dirtiest store I have ever been to, all their fish have ick, they constantly have pallets full of merchandise all over the store so you can't walk down most of the aisles. The cashiers are dirty and they smell and they are unproffesional and unkempt. The associates do not say hello when you walk past....ever! And the one time someone did, I went to the Store Manager and told him "of the 8 years I have lived an shopped here, your associate, John, was the first person to ever say hello to me in the store other than the greeter. I said that in front of several other associates hoping they too would get the stick out of their you know what. Anywho, that's my story and I'm sticking to it!

This is not the only store that is sending money to China, other stores are doing this as well. Wal-Mart gets targeted since they advertise lower prices to try to keep competitive. I've noticed in my area, Target is very low to stay competitive with Wal-Mart. In general, it is difficult to find items labeled "Made in the USA". Since so many corporations are outsourcing to overseas. Do you enjoy eating at McDonald's? Your order might've been taken by someone who lives overseas since so many people cannot speak our native language here: English!
The bottom line is America as a whole is ceasing not to exist, with no one speaking the same language and all our products being manufactured elsewhere, it's no wonder we're left standing, twiddling our thumbs wondering what has happened.

If I need to shop at Wal Mart, I have no issues. It is an Arkansas owned and operated business. It offers Sams Club as an upper alternative. It hires mostly Americans and has products from all over the world. Your federal government regulates who we trade with, if you have a problem with the Chinese and US bucks, you should complain there. If another company sold for less than Wal Mart, then what. If you drive an American made car then you better strip it to see where all it's parts came from.

Least we forget that most Americans can't afford the things we like to eat, much less the things we like to wear!
I can't afford to spend 120.00 on a pair of jeans or 85.00 for a blouse. I have to go where ever my family and I can afford to purchase things so we don't have to walk around naked or starve. If Americans can come up with a place where we, as normal hard working people that make a limited amount of money, can shop and give only to Americans I will be the first to shop there.
You complain about where we shop but it is you who complains about what you are being paid for the job you do. If you worked fifteen hours a day and only received 15.00 for that time wouldn't you be a bit tic-key? I don't agree with forced labor and I wouldn't do it myself. Because as far as I'm concerned we do it every day. When you come up with a better way for Americans to live you have the right to complain about where we shop.

there are two distinct questions here. my answer to both is no ... but not shopping at WallyWorld doesn't keep my money from going to China ... just about every retailer sells products manufactured outside the US ... many from China.
Given the opportunity, I would, within reason, pay more for a truly US-made product (not just one with a US brandname).

Its not just Wall mart. I go for the cheapest price.
Unions ruined this country by not seeing the big picture of there greed. They were good at first to straighten out bad labor practices and get good labor laws on the books. \They are now basically the same as organized crime that rules by extortion. The capitalist answer to them is, " no thanks I'll go else were and have it made cheaper while you whine and picket".Unions are always cutting off their nose to spite their face.
Where was the computer made that you are using??? Check where the parts were made for that American car of yours, Where was your TV and Stereo made. If your going to be a whinny liberal then you cant have it both ways.
