flying along side the space craft give credibility to the UFO question, that we are not alone

it has never been publicly announced by nasa and the crew didnt want to say anything about it to ground control because quote "there was an alien craft flying along side them would take credibility away from NASA"

It's important to understand the context. Buzz Aldrin and the other astronauts are highly trained scientists and pilots. When any of them say UFO they are using the term in its original and correct sense: Unidentified Flying Object. That means simply an object in the sky that we cannot identify. It is not code for "alien spacecraft."

I located the interview video that you were referring to. It is linked below. All Buzz Aldrin said is that they saw something. It looked like discs until the telescope was focused and then it appeared to be L-shaped. And, that they never figured out what it was.

In response to kipper, I agree that the notion that there is no life in the Universe is illogical because the Universe is so huge.

By the same argument, the idea that there are species from another star buzzing around here is ALSO illogical. Who would travel the immense distances between stars just to hide from the beings you are visiting?

UFOs are very frequently objects like weather phenomena such as lenticular clouds, or weather balloons (which can be very high up and shining in an otherwise dark sky after sunset), or military aircraft (in the 1970s UFOs suddenly became black triangular craft -- like the F-117A). They are NEVER alien spacecraft.

If Mr. Aldrin did report a UFO, it is in the strict sense of the words "unidentified flying object" which does not in any way imply "alien spacecraft".

The notion that there is no other life in the universe is illogical when you consider the incomprehensible vastness of it. As for Aldrin's story I don't know. Something interesting is that the FBI canceled "Project Blue Book" (their investigation into UFOs) three months after Apollo 11 landed on the moon. A journalist was told by an ex-CIA agent he was interviewing, that the CIA was involved in encouraging people to believe that they saw UFOs to cover up weapon testing. He also found out that the Nazis during WW2 were designing Anti-gravity craft. When the war finished the US kidnapped the scientists that had been working on the Anti-gravity project, and took them to Area 51. This same journalist also found US blue prints for a flying saucer. It didn't use Anti-gravity, it used jet engines, a circle of them in the middle of the saucer. He discovered that the sightings at Roswell were most likely the military testing their new toy. Basically this guy proved that most UFO sightings are either hoax's or weapon testing. However, he does admit that he can't explain everything.
