My opinion is completely opposite all these liberals opinions on here so far. We do need to get serious & do what needs to be done.

Remove Rumsfeld and change strategies and that change should be to bring the troops home before more Americans die. Iraq is already in a civil war and will eventually become a Muslim state like its neighbor, Iran, its just a matter of time. They were much better off when Saddam Hussein was in charge. We had no business going over there, we have no business being there now, we've totally effed up their country - time to let them work things out and if they all kill each other, who cares?

The administration is now making an exit strategy.
American troops will pull back to their bases and leave a few officers embedded in Iraqi security forces.
A prominent US official has already stated that the US was 'stupid and arrogant' in the way it has handled Iraq.
What was the freedom fries thing about europe being traitors to the US for not supporting the invasion of Iraq?
I guess the administration are having to eat those freedom fries now like humble pie.

None of the above. When you fall in a pit and its start raining you have to wait before rain stops. Iraqis won't let US get out. If US leaves Iraq, nobody will listen to them ever ( N. Korea and Venezula do not listen anyway ). Iraqis will keep fighting and killing each other for decades ( look at Leabnon and Palestinian history). One day they will get tired. Then Iran will take Shia region, Syria will take Sunni Arabs. Kurds will be taken by Turks. Think who will be the village idiot then?

Break it up into small pieces and reform the central government as a confederacy. I'd have to learn more about it but Its worked in Switzerland for over 600 years.

none of them will work.
and if you want what is best for iraq how could you evenmention letting them fall into civil war? how is that best for anyone?
and segregation? first of all it could never happen, they wouldn't let it. secondly how would that be any better than the segregation of america? one will always be treated better than the other - that's just the way segregation works.
we can only do our best there, there is no real solution - there is never a real solution to the aftermath of war. at least never one that works for all.

3. Add more troops. Give them at least a three-prong offensive strategy.
We need to have the OIF version of a D-Day to ensure victory. Otherwise, Iraq is going to be another Vietnam, and we're going to have more disenfranchised veterans running around, much like we do now.
Oh please, no!

Do a phased pull out. Not a rush evac like republicans are claiming democrats want.
That would force surrounding countries to decide if they want to get involved. Right now they have no reason to, we are will to do whatever it takes according to our president.

Say "I'm sorry", pay for the damages you caused and go home and let them enjoy all that democracy you gave them.
I'm sure they will appreciate that.
