According to South Africa's Truth and Reconciliation Commission, the government of South Africa (acting through state sanctioned death squads) directly killed at least 220 people who were opposing apartheid. This not not counting the thousands who were arrested and killed in unrecorded violence related to the maintenance of apartheid. Here's a link:

Yes, they did but not one, they murdered thousands. Men, women and children, as long as you were Black, you qualified to be murdered.
