Myself, partner a 2 yr old daughter have planned to move to England (from Ireland) in the new yr for a couple of yrs. To save some money, get away from our small town, live life and experience something new and then return to buy a house. I was born in England and have a sister and family there and was really looking forward to going. I find it impossible to get a job here in my field of work. My partners father has just offered to sell us a house (he is building and selling 100's on his farm land as well as a new primary schooll) which we had been waiting for but had given up hope. I know this is a great opportunity to buy from him as we need not worry about going through bank for mortgage and can do it through him. I know it is great to be able to have a new house of our own but I cant help feeling disappointed. I need a break from this town. If we go to England we may lose his offer. Is it best for my family to stay? My partner would like to stay. The house will be ready by new yr

I would go for the house in Ireland perhaps a visit to England First instead of a move see what it has to offer first remember the grass is not allways greener what does your partner think
and rest of both your families good luck!

it doesnt always work out when you go away under those circumstances ,i know people from both countries who tried that ,and all returned to their own place .i would agree with you as far as a change is wanted ,but the grass is not always greener , id say move away from your town,but nothing drastic good luck in your decision

Follow your dreams, there's so much more to life than a new house. It's your choice, if I were you I'd move to England.

It may only look greener in the other pasture. But on the other hand change is sometimes good. Sorry, I can't make your decision. I wish you luck in making your choice.
