put patrolem jelly on the parts carved it helps keep the mosture in

do not use a candle in it because that starts to cook the pumpkin insides .
after halloween you can shelack it to keep it longer for the thanksgiving time . hope this helps you out some.

2tbsp vinegar
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 quart of water


brush the areas that are carved including the inside, last year mine lasted until Thanksgiving.

Put Vaseline on all cut parts ,this will keep it moist and seal it.
