In pre election 2000 Bush was quoted as saying.
"he thinks God wants him to run for President"

In the 2003 election debates in October, Bush played the religion card again, by saying " that God loves us and he loves us and God told him to invade Iraq.

In 2005 it was reported that Bush told Palestine leaders that he was on a mission from God and he was told to invade Iraq.

Then we have the whitehouse denying such quotes and accusing Palestine leaders of fibbing.

Here's the problem I and many others remember his election debate response in the debate with John Kerry in 2004. Yes Bush did say it, and it was big news all over.

Bush believes he is the chosen one? Why would Bush be picked? What is so special about him?

I had a talk with God to and guess what he told me not to vote for the GOP because they are proverbial liars.

Your thoughts!

I don't think Bush was chosen by God, more that Bush choose himself to be the prima donna of God's diciples.

I agree I to remember Bush saying in either the 2004 St. Louis or the 2004 Arizona debate that he was told by God to go to war with Iraq.

What bothers me, is that Bush actually believes himself to be in direct communication with God. That God has commanded him.

What bothers me even more is that Bush tends to use this farce of communication every election, or everytime he gets into trouble.

Bush has lied and lied to us, what makes anyone think he is not lying about his so-called communication with God.

There are more quotes of Bush using God for accountability of his ( bush's) actions NOT GOD'S!
I do not believe for one moment that the God I know and love commanded Bush to war. I beleive Bush has been commanded and that is by the communication of his own evil with Satan.

It is possible that Bush got a bad connection and was actually speaking with Lucifer who commanded him to go to war in the wrong country. That is a more fitting of the events then that of God.

I wish Bush would refrain from any mentioning of God because I find him offensive and insulting the integrity, the champion, the spiritual and the purity of God. Bush is not religious nor is he spiritual.

What God wants and what Bush thinks God wants may be two different things.

We know that young Bush was raised on New World Order stuff since he was knee high to a grasshopper. And that he has indeed gone out and played w/ the owls, lit his cares on fire, and hobnobbed w/ the great ones.

We also know however that after a run-in with substance addiction (which got reported in the news but also has plausable deniablity) Bush got a strong dose of Fundamentalist Christiantiy through a 12 step program.

The party often tries to tone down the more outragious statements .. I especially remember the one about Bush wanting a crusade against the Infidels .. which stirred up even moderate Islamic peoples.

Since most of these things are on TV they are hard to record and hard to cite and retrieve. And then there is awesome "spin" .. awe shuckies darns .. he wouldn't not have said THAT...

Part of also what might be going on is Bush although IN Texas might be vicitim of the Purtian God ethic .. which essentialy says that God shows his love of you and your family by material wealth in this world. The Bushes have a little Dynasty going. Papa was Pres ..family is powerful ..why not God calling?? Well perhaps. perhaps not.

Some of the world sees it that way too. I remember some frightening radio programs where several Fundamantalist Christians were so pleased that their kind of man was in office.

Others of course don't think that way.

Bush has always tried to appeal to the religious right. I think he has said those statements re God too much and he may actually believe it. Ask Bush why he can't clear up all the messes in the world, if he is the chosen one. God also told me to not vote Republican for the same reasons you state.

What on Earth is a "religious card" and what does it have to do with being the US commander in chief? Obama isn't "sending of thousands of young men to kill and die in Afghanistan"...he's fighting a war. A war the supposedly Christian GW Bush started and abandoned. How many lives were lost due to his criminal inattention there while he pursued an unjustified war in Iraq?

Bush is playing the religous card! But why would God side with Bush? He's a Republican. Why, God, WHY?

He is playing everyone that will fall for his position. And the religious people are falling for it, because he says what he wants them to hear. Anyone who supports a war, where there are military American young men being killed, can't be too religious anyway. Even though they play the part, that is called a "hypocrite".

So he talks his faith, Jimmy Carter did the same and I fail to remember Democrats crying then. Do you have a link with audio of Bush saying these things, I am tired of Bush haters coming in, posting a bogus question just to whine about him, then failing to post a link or anything else to provide even a scintilla of evidence. You folks are past due needing to shut up, grow up and find a life.

Bush ALWAYS plays the religious card. And if Bush believes he's the "chosen" one then that should say volumes about his disillusionment with everything else.

You didn't talk to God. You sound like a person who is least likely to talk to god. And certainly not open enough to hear if God answered you. I am not a religious nut, in fact I'm not religious in any way, however I am spiritual and you are a fraud.
