Wow, people are pretty uneducated on medication and breastfeeding.
Both progestin and estrogen are approved by the American Academy of Pediatrics for use by breastfeeding mothers. No adverse effects have been noted in infants for mothers on the "mini-pill" (Micronor or norethindrone). It's rated as an L1 medication, meaning it's as safe as taking Tylenol.
There is some concern that the mini pill could lower your milk supply. At 6 months if you haven't had problems with this before it's very unlikely that it'd be a problem now.
I'm not sure if going on the pill is the best way to help your PMS, but it is an option while breastfeeding. If you've only recently started menstruating again after your pregnancy consider trying to ride it out. The first couple months back for me were horrible, but then it got a lot better.
Good luck.

definite, the pill might want to help. the patch, ortho evra is also fairly functional. With any variety of more advantageous estrogen, it makes you benefit, on favourite 5 pounds a year, in case you do not exercising and preserve your eating routine. Ask your OB/GYN and he/she will be in a position which could help you fing the perfect answer. once you're planning on having any extra children, or if you're carried out. you've some ideas. there is even an IUD called Mirena it truly is designed to help with that. My perfect suggestion, call your healthcare professional and communicate over consisting of her or him.

it depends on how old you are, i would get your mum to take you to see a doctor and discuss it alot of young girls go on the pill and this can make their periods more regular and take away some of the mood swings doctors will recommend the mini pill and some can add a little wieght but not enough to notice and if you are on the pill its not going to effect the baby as you wouldnt be falling pregnant if you were taking the pill as prescribed and if you are young you should be using condoms as well as the pill for contracepton to make sure you do not contract any sexual diseases, good luck and best advice you can get is see a doctor

I'm breastfeeding and on the pill. But it's the mini pill - no estrogen, which makes it okay to take while nursing. Contact your OB/GYN and ask her/him about it.

You cant take hormone based birthcontrol while you breastfeed. It does enter your milk, but more importantly the estrogen in the pill stops milk production.
There are other options though, just ask your doctor what all you can do.

As long as you are breast-feeding the infant you can't go on any kind of medicine....., unless its an aspirin which some doctors don't recommend either. What if you get sick or have a headache? Just call the doctor and maybe he can prescribe something that wouldn't harm your little one.

Dont take the pill while breastfeeding. It "will" be transferred into the milk, and thus, your baby will be taking them also!
Wait til after your done, and seek your Doctors opinion on what measures can relieve those symtoms, he/she would know best.
I wish you well..
