Depends on the pet quite a lot. Dogs, if you raise them as puppies can be considered this way. However cat's are a free spirit and have an agenda all their own. I don't think anyone really owns a cat. lol... Other pets may or may not fit the mold. Like horses!

Our 3 cats act like children, even moaning if you dont say hello when you come back home. and yes we do call the boys son. Although if you look at it context, the girl cat had a litter and we kept two of the boys so in reality they are out grandchildren lol

No, I don't. I neither squeezed them out, nor did I file adoption papers for them, they're my pets. But I do treat them as if they were my children.

Yes both me and my partner are our dogs mum and dad. The dogs even know what you mean when you say go get your dad or mention the names

yes i say its very true. i have 2 older childern and they have a little sis cat(sophie), little brother(smokie)dog, and a new member (karma) pup. and we teat them just as good as the real kids. they go for car rides, to the park, and to the vet
