Nirvana, system of a down, ozzy?? make sure its nothing him and his friends wont like. just cuz you don't like it and you think its loud dont judge. Its his party. Hope its a success

First off, 15 year olds dont want themes.
You should get him something that will make him feel more grown and independant. A cell phone, a savings account for a car... something like that.
Dont throw him a party, just let him invite people over and feed them and be willing to drive them places. No one has actual staged parties as teenagers.
Or just ask him what he wants to do for his birthday.

Theme? Party?
...you do realize he's fifteen, right? xDD
Let him plan it himself. Like others said, he'll most likely just want to have people over with food and music.
He'll probably like an mp3 or iPod or something...or if he doesn't have one already, a phone. But he probably does, right? He is, after all, fifteen years old.
Actually, the best gift is to just take him shopping with you and let him pick out a gift.
But unless you're a great person who KNOWS his style VERY well, do not, I repeat, do not shop for clothes for him unless he's right there with you. Half my gifts for my birthday and holidays are clothing. They never see the light of day. Ever.
Or get him a laptop or something...I want a laptop. D:

Well, my opinion is that a 15 year old may be too old to have a theme. But however, does your son like electronics and arcade games, or playstation and Gamecube???????

I agree, let him invite his own friends and kinda stay out of the way because kids that age are typically embarrassed of there parents let him be independent. Also yea a Cell, PSP, Game system, computer Bestbuy.com that's all you need!

Ask him for one thing but my ideas are a computer, computer games, educational software, pamplets on college, books, games for his gaming systems, clothes, take him out for a pizza, and let him pick out is own cake, and gift(s)

Get him a prostitute. And supervise thier activities so that you know he's got the right idea. It's what a good mom would do, and you're a good mom, right?
