For example, look at our technology advancement rate. 10 years ago, it was like the "stone age" for computers. Now, a Pentium 4 processor isn't enough anymore. Think about it.

The biological modern human are H. sapiens after the last time we nearly extincted , at about 20 000 years ago.

In saying that we advanced so fast ,, you must also factor the multiple times
the modern human toyed with civilizations Egypt , Inca , Otoman , Indian , Chinese , Angkor Wat , Roman (Western) ,, and depends on how far you want to go back.

We generally understand that they either failed , or became redundant. Let me say right out that they are generally , useless. And that the only worth while civilization is the current one.

How the West is structured in her institutionalised Engineering , Logistics , Finance , Sciences has a lot to do with carrying momentum forward to the next generation. And this is unique in that none of the rest has even gone past "barter trade". At best , they feudalistic grain laws , that are tied to taxes. We should also ask if those grain laws were development friendly. Which they were not , but in fact detrimental to we understand as sustainable Agriculture.

Beyond and ahead of the civilizational advantage there is also an America , that is thoroughly cohesive in her scientific search of knowledge that distills very sensible in her institutionalised standards ,, read as product markings i.e. DOT , VIN or FDA. America is also cohesive in her search for space , military power and the future of Humanity. In that these largely keep momentum independantly of the elected President. ( ,, where in Angkor Wat the weeding of the water-ways was under the whim of the ruler. )

,, Part of the reason why we took so long before was that we were too busy being barbaric and petish ,, which is no different , in what we see the global community to do today ,, N. Korea , Burma , bla , bla.

,, Our technology advancement rate is not measured as computers per se. There are technologies in machanical , electical , electronic , material , soil and civil , space , exo-sciences , polymers , composites , ceramics.

Human beings have not advanced at all. Nor has intelligence increased. Knowledge has increased, because new knowledge is built on previous knowledge. Also much more money and manpower is now being spent on technological research. It has nothing to do with biological evolution, which remains an unproven set of beliefs.
Technological science is in a completely different category than speculative or theoretical science. Technology proves itself in action, can be demonstrated and observed, and is seen to comply with all natural laws. Unlike such speculative beliefs as evolution, which rely on natural law actually being suspended, as in the case of the spontaneous generation of life in the primordial soup and the singularity of the 'Big Bang'.

Human beings have not advanced but methods of learning, science and technology have.

However some groups do not believe in science and technology.

I find it amazing we have learnt so much and frightening when people want to destroy it. It's the learning that makes us human.

By the way, war is the engine of science and technology, if it wasn't for WWII we probably wouldn't have a the computers we have today. The LCD display was the result of the military wanting and alternative to the Cathode Ray Tube.

Like Isaac Newton said - standing on the shoulders of giants. We are only where we are today because we can build on what's gone before and constantly improve - we're not any more intelligent than our ancestors just educated to a higher level and organised into a working community of specialists. If everything was wiped out by some kind or nulear explosion and we had to start again with no memory of what had gone before it'd take just as long, each generation contibutes to advancing on to the next level - we're just lucky to have so much to build from.

One reason is because in prehistoric times there were only (at most) a few million humans, and now there are almost 7 billion. And we can read, and have the internet to send info around. And scientific agriculture, so we have plenty of food cheap and can spend a lot of time thinking (or watching TV, take your pick!)

It is really amusing that we have anti-science folks using the speed of scientific discovery as an argument against the scientific theory of evolution!!! No wonder they have a problem understanding science.

The whole universe is connected by different fields where time doesn't exist, just dimensions. Humans are connected to the psionic field which means that we subconciously learn more as the population grows.
This happened thousands of years ago too when prehistoric tools were invented such as the axe. Archeologists found similar tools in different continents around the globe when global travel and communication would have been practically impossible.

I disagree. Assuming that wisdom is a ordinary sources of count and skill and that hectic structures have progressed to channel this to create the phantasm of 'self', creatures with hectic structures are a burning easy of wisdom while in comparison with the dim history radiation of a universe of incredibly subconscious count. To pay interest to any sound, colour, shape, memory or emotion is so lots greater suitable than somewhat rock or a plant ever reports, devoid of even pondering complicated recommendations. I do think of that our wisdom has infinitesimal complexity while in comparison with what must be, case in point a Matrioshka recommendations made out of all of the subject interior the photograph voltaic equipment could have a perceptual adventure richer than our very own with the help of many, many orders of value. If on the different hand you're bearing on the undeniable fact that we are no longer consciously conscious of maximum of our concept tactics, then I agree. i think of it is unavoidable on condition that it is how the recommendations works. it remains a lots richer adventure than the uninteresting and unfocused one that vegetation, a corpse, or a rock ought to have.

It's a learning curve that is getting steeper and steeper What happens when it becomes almost vertical, frightening isn't it.
As a lad cars were square boxes that could do about 60 MPH radios had a HT battery a LT battery and a grid bias battery. television was talked about but I had not seen one ,and computer was an unknown word. The telephone was a candlestick model and my dads phone number was 1751..And I don't think kids are any happier today than we were then.

There is no such thing as prehistoric humans.
Humans have been around for all of history - well since day 6 anyway.
If humans had been around for millions (or even tens of thousands) of years then there would be more evidence for their supposed existence. Human history is too short to allow for all these alleged prehistoric humans.

Maybe those who walked before us knew what was really important: Family..
Having shelter - food - clothing - warmth or a fire..
We on the other hand, if you've noticed, do as much as possible for our families , all the while staying far away from them.
Then, they sat down and shared meals , now, we don't even do that.
You call this be advanced..
Then, you saw the whites of your enemies eyes before you killed them by hand, now.. you don't have to do that. It's nothing personal, you're just the enemy..BANG! or in many cases BOOM!
But I did like the first guys answer.. aliens.. definitely..
