Does spicy food produce phlegm? And what are food produces phlegm and thick mucous?

I don't think spicy food does...but milk and dairy products do.

Spicy food does not produce phlegm but may give you bad breath. Phlegm and mucus are not produced by food but by bacteria that may invade the lungs or the respiratory tract.

I have never had any problems with spicy food, but it is different for everybody

I don't know about phlegm, it will make your nose run.
