Sorry, I did not make clear that I am asking about removing the brown stains from the white plastic cone filter holder. I have tried the vinegar, baking soda. I am using Lime Away as this is written. Any other suggestions will be appreciated.

use vinegar. Mix 70%water to 30% vinegar. Put in where you put water then turn coffee maker on (just like brewing coffee). let it run til the water is all gone. then rinse. wipe with a clean cloth. that works for me so far....

Hi,

I'm sorry to hear about your coffee maker, they're a pain to clean! I had the same thing happen to mine! I surfed the net like a mad woman, but nothing worked. I finally tried the colorox bleach pen. It took the stain right out!

I paid about $4.50 for mine, but I was surfing the freebies today and I saw a link to get one for free!

I use denture cleaning tablets for cleaning the coffee maker parts. Just soak for 10 minutes, wipe and rinse.
