Though its technical in nature, using ethnicity instead of race is a better term as there are no pure races because of interbreeding. Theres no such thing as a "white race" or "hispanic race" but there are ethnic distinctions. Though its quite pc in nature, by using the right terms its possible to at least alter the distinctions and hopeful clear up a lot of misunderstandings and silly prejudices like the one about not learning the language being racist. Protecting ones culture is nothing to be ashamed of, and there are greater problems because of a world dual labor force that cause these social problems.

Lastly, the hispanic ethnicity is so diverse that although using visual clues might be of some help, it really is by no means a guarantee of anything.

Well, some of them will try to hide their race if their skin is lighter. They dye their hair blonde and speak correct English and then it is hard to tell. But, when you say Hispanic are you referring to Mexicans, Cubans, Spaniards, Puerto Ricans or what? Some of them you can tell, others you can not especially when they try to hide it.

Hispanics are racist enough to move to an english speaking country and not learn the language. It makes it easy to spot them.

The French came to the US and learned the language. So did the Italians, Chinese, Japanese, Russians, Swedish, etc. Only the Hispanics believe that their culture is so superior to the existing culture that it's ok to move in and demand bilingual education, spanish signs, etc. If that isn't racism, then nothing is. No one is saying anything about wiping anyone's culture away. Any immigrant can keep their culture, but they must learn to live in the culture they have moved into. To do otherwise IS racist. To enter a country illegally and then demand services from the local government is also racist, since that requires believing that it is ok for you to break the law AND receive free goods and services for breaking the law!

What's happening is that in many parts of the US, Hispanics are overwhelming the existing culture by their refusal to learn the language. If I were to move to Mexico, I would be expected to learn the language and I would. The reverse must also be true.

i'am not sure why this was asked, but i live where it's either white or black, in a country town, people look at me and wonder what i am and same with my daughter which is beautiful she has olive skin i have tan red i'am native amercian indian and she is mexican and indian they say we look diffrent and always ask what are you, cause as i said there white or black here so of course we stand out with our long black hair and darker skin why ask this i'am wondering the point though?

For the most part - yes. However, that is assuming that I am always being stereotypical (which I am not). My sister is half hispanic and is "whiter" than I am.
