Technically no one knows.

Scientifically, its almost near, if the global warming trend to continue, large proportion of living creatures and human as well in this world will disappear, possibly a new form of life will appear.

On the other hand, you are asking based on your religious belief. I am an agnostic person, but what I recall bible was saying that the revelation will result into the judgement days. From all the article you can read including bibles, old testaments, phrophecies, it says the before the revelation, the beast will arrive, and war will start from the East.

Most of the interpretation that everyone agrees are;
Beast is the anti Christ
The war is in Middle East
1/3 of the population will remain
This anti Christ will appear during the reign of the last pope.

So far the time from now to the last pope are years away, maybe you'll see it in your lifetime, maybe not.

Well, based on your religion, I believe that there is a certain date that is encoded within the Bible. However, in my perspective, we face a judgment day every day, regardless of your faith. We all have had moments where it feels like the universe is against us, but we don't know why. I take those moments as times to reflect on my character and past actions. Of course, Job had no rhyme or reason for his plight (so far as he could see) but it does remind us that we are just humans in a much bigger system (whatever it may be).
If you are concerned about your personal actions, here is what I do- go out and do good deeds. Volunteer, help a kid with homework, whatever, and you'll feel better. Further, no matter what happens after that, you know that you are a good person no matter what.

The "Orion prophecy" says it might be in 2012...
2012 is also an amazing year with astronomical events like the great alignment of planets taking place...
but following the context of the bible, judgement day is far off since according to its detailed account of events, a lot of events are yet to take place on the road to judgement day...
like the rise of the antichrist... n the united world government etc.
some say 2017!! some 2027!!
ppl keep talkin abt it....
you can never say when its gonna arrive...
you just hav to be alert n wait n watch patiently for the signs to reveal themselves...
some signs are slowly showing up...
i hope somethin like tht happens in my lifetime...it would be so exciting..!!
surely, i'm lookin forward to 2012.....n if nothin happens, years following it.....

the theory of living everyday as if it was your last seems far fetched...it doesnt work in the real world n the thought only seems fascinating n wonderful...
I cant go on kissing my gf goodbye everyday as i go home behaving today *could be* my last day...sooner or later, either I'll get tired or she'll get sick of it...

Judgement day is another way of keepin people afraid...
afraid of God.... afraid tht you dont believe enough in him....
This kinda fear is good....it shouldnt be avoided...it should be happily accepted...n in the mean while-- work on wht you believe...

The day of Judgement is answer with GOD. Although there are sign of Judgement Day are approaching closer than ever (depending on your perception). I can name few - the ratio of gender - there will be more female than male population (I know what u thinking...thats not what I meant !!), The behavior of the society will become worse gradually - (how is that - example gays, violence in shows movie, tv and negative behavior where people starts accepting as normal live and which forgotten the words of holy books stated to forbid.) if you don't believe, step back and look around you. It is closer than you think. there are many signs but I can't remember all the signs and tell all of them. Be VERY Afraid of Judgement Day, when soul can not escape GOD'S call.

Again, only God knows. But I personally believe its very very close. www.raptureready.com some interesting stuff, just have a look around. The BIG debate about Judgement Day is if its pre-tribulation or middle tribulation or after tribulation. But I dont focus on a lot of signs and everything even though there all around us. I just cant wait for that trumpet to sound.

The moment you die....you are taken home and there await the judgment day filled with joy in knowing that you have lived a life of making good choices and following the example set by our brother Jesus Christ or filled with pain and guilt, knowing that you chose not to repent after you have had so many wittiness in this life that you must repent and follow the Savior or remain in a state of knowing all that you have done wrong in this life and face him at the judgment bar and there receive your reward for your actions in this life...

No one knows. Not even the Angels in Heaven know when Jesus is coming back. Only Jesus and God know. You just have to be ready. When I say ready I mean, repent and live your life for Jesus. You can't use Jesus and salvation like a "get out of jail free" card. There are signs. It says so in the Bible. Things will get worse. There will be wars and rumors of wars. All nations will rise above Israel. We are at war now. It is never going to end. It is only going to get worse.

I am catholic, too. I know that if you go to church every Sunday that within a 3 year period, you will hear 3 reading per day and at 54 Sundays per year and all the major holidays, you get through pretty much the entire new testament.

ONLY THE FATHER KNOWS THE HOUR!
Mark 13:32

Go back to your catechism studies. Every catholic child studies these lessons.

It is good to see people actually care about such spiritual matters! =] If you are talking about the White Throne Judgement, then it will happen after the millenial rule of Christ and his saints. Then everyone will be resurrected, both evil and righteus, and will be given certain time(maybe a hundred years) to find out the truth and repent. God is just, and he will not condemn people who never even heard of the gospel to prished in the lake of fire!
I recommend NOT to believe me, but read the bible yourself and visit this site for VERY valuable further insight: http://www.tomorrowsworld.org/cgi-bin/tw/tw-mag.cgi?category=Magazine20&item=1104114104

Perhaps we should live as though every day were going to be Judgment Day.

The Lord himself declared that that day is hidden from all men, saying; "But of that day and that hour knoweth no one not even the angels in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father alone." Mark 13:32
