Republicans...unless the Democrats pick someone that is more moderate. The United States is looking for change, but does not want a complete 360 from the current state. If Democratic candidates would be more open to playing the middle of the field, then they could win. But, if the election is a staunch republican and a staunch Democrat (like most are now) then the public will go with the one that they feel comfortable with. Right now the republicans are what the mass public feels comfortable with for they do not support drastic change (for good or bad) and provide a sense of security. So until a moderate Democrat comes onto the seen, then the Republicans will win.

Unless something big happens, democrats will win the house.
In the senate they will gain between 4 and 6 seats. They need 6 in order to get control of the senate.
Republicans will likely lose many govenor seats, and possibly pick up Wisconsin. Mark Green is playing the promise everything to everyone game, and most republicans are listening.

As another answerer said, the idea of the far left liberals like Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Harry Dean, Chuck Schummer, Hilary Clinton or Ted Kennedy having control of Congress "scares the heck out of me!" I do not care to have those who can only spue vitriolic hatred being in the position of influencing public policy any more than they already do. Our economy is booming. Many don't understand that with less tax to pay, organizations and individual business owners can expand and hire more individuals thereby reducing the unemployment rate. Republicans will work to reduce taxes, they will support our military not trash it. They will work to keep the terrorists from our shores. They are all not perfect but they certainly are more grounded than the dems.

I don't call it winning. Either way, America loses. The Democrats and Republicans have run to the middle so much and placated so many people with money, that there's not a thin dime's difference in their overall performance.
They do not know how to help people and both parties support all "War on X". They only know how to draft restrictive and punitive laws. Politicians and governments are not good at "convincing" people. Only FORCING them to obey.
Getting more people to vote in the first place will help diminish the power politicians have of buying groups' support with campaign promises.
For me, I vote third party only. You have more choices than you are led to believe. To see ALL of the ballot choices in your district, go to Project Vote Smart.

Is it more important who wins the election or the sanctity and security of our country?
I'm a registered Democrat but I gotta tell you... having Nancy Pelosi two heartbeats away from the Presidency scares the living crap out of me. She will be as bad for the United States as Kim Jong IL has proven to be for North Korea.
I'll be voting Republican.

Sadly probably the republicans, cause no matter how bad things get as long as the rich and corporations are getting their tax cuts, and the media is slanting things in such a confusing manner to the guy sitting there in traffic listening to his talk radio, people will listen to silly terms like liberal and family values and vote for whichever cabbagehead seems to fill those shoes. People have been duped for so long they do not even know when they are being snookered anymore.

There really aren't any Democrats I feel comfortable voting for this time around.
If I get my absentee ballot in time (I never did receive one for the primaries!) I'll be voting Republican.
Do we need more Democrats in Congress? Absolutely. Problem is, their choices for who's running are horrible.

What, in a fist fight? At XBox? On Wheel of Fortune?
In November, obviously the Dems stand to make some big gains. Which I've gotta think is a good thing at this point. BushCo has been rubber-stamped enough, and we've seen how that goes. Gridlock is better than free reign for power-drunk idiots.
