Have a Heaths test done, your probably not allergic and its the second time your stung that sometimes triggers what we call anaphalactic shock. After being stung the first time the body produces anti histamines, the second time your stung the bodies immune system goes into overdrive,If you are allergic to that extent then you will be supplied with a premesured dose of adrenalin in case this happens. If your worried go and see your GP.Good Luck.

It is impossible to be allergic to bees if you have never been stung before. In fact, it is impossible to be allergic to any substance that you have not encountered before. An allergy only develops after repeated exposure to a substance. Therefore, if you have never been stung before you are definitely NOT allergic to bee stings.

I got stung whilst in a supermarket queue a few years back but being a tough Brit, I just carried on queuing, paid for may shopping and after a couple of hours the sting went away. I would describe it a being pricked quite hard with a drawing pin.

You can go see an allergist and they can do a test for it. They'll insert a tiny amount of bee venom under your skin either by the scratching method or by the intradermal method injecting it just under the skin. This will give them a valid answer on whether you are allergic or not by the amount of redness and swelling caused by the venom.

Your family history would help. Was there anyone in the family with such allergies? If some relative had been proven to be allergic then more likely, you may be allergic too.
