Mixing The Henna
* Henna powder
* Espresso
* Lemon juice
* Baby food jar with lid
* Popcicle stick (to stir with)
* Toothpicks & q-tips
* Plastic sandwich bag or a bottle with a very small tip
Pour henna into jar about half full. Next add lemon juice until its the consistency of dough. Then add espresso until its as smooth as pancake batter. Place lid on jar and place in a dark area for at least 4 hours no loger than 12 hours. IMPORTANT do not get mixture to thin because then you'll have a big runny mess all over you.
Wash skin and let dry. I don't use oils or anything. I did experiments with and without eucalyptus oil and I noticed no difference, you can save money this way. Next place henna in bag or bottle. If using a plastic sandwich bag cut the smallest hole possible, so that you can get fine lines. Now start placing your design on. You can place it almost anywhere hands, palms (henna turns out darkest on palms), feet, upper arm, ankle, just don't apply to face or genitals. Use the toothpic to make designs and use the q-tip to clean up quickly because it stains FAST! You can do any design you want vines, lotus flowers, celtic knot work, tribal anything that tickles your fancy. IMPORTANT leave your finished henna design on until dry, then you can scrape it off, DO NOT USE WATER TO WASH OFF! The longer the henna stays on the longer your design will stay. I try not to wash that area for 12-24 hours. Apply lemon juice to henna tattoo too darken the color. If your afraid of free hand design you can find stencils that you fill in then peel off.
this ll really get really good results

1. when the mehndi starts drying, you can apply lemon juice concentrated with sugar to keep the moisture.
2. you can take off the mehndi after 2 or 3 hours and apply some cocnut oil to your hands.
3. heat a tawa and keep your hands near o the tawa so that the smoke touches your palm.
4. Do not touch water for atleast 8 hours which will darken the mehndi and last for 10 days.

As soon as you apply mehendi ,with a cotton plug dipped in SUGAR SYRUP you touch the mehendi gently. Dont wash ur hands for removing mehendi instead rub your two hands.After the mehendi goes try to apply coconut oil and leave it for a couple of minutes. Then after that wash your hands...It really works.... :)

if you want to dark your mehendi . first take little amount of water and put mehendi (that water should be of lemon ).after 5 or 6 hours make a cone of mehendi. now put your designe on your hand . let the mehendi dry . after some time remove your mendhi with a spoon but dont put water. now again put your mendhi on same designe only outline let it dry after it dry remove it by spoon. and main thing dont put water on it for 3 hours this time including the process . see after this you will get a nice mendhi

1.apply juice of lemon mixed with sugar on your hands for alteast half a day
2.Once the mehendi starts to fall off, apply vicks on your hands
3. Apply Vicks.heat a few cloves on apan, warm your palms before you wash off the mehendi
4. and MOST IMPORTANTLY, leave mehendi overnight.
The longer you keep away from water, the darker you mehendi will be.mehendi stops attaining colour, the minute you wash it with water.

well the one that works for me is...to heat some cloves in a dry pan untill hot..then just warm ur hands in the fumes becareful not to touch the hot pan..u can also apply vicks vaporub when the henna dries up.but before all this be sure to get a good henna cone because nowadays they are prepared well with all darkening agents natural & artificial .they cause no allergic reaction

while the mehndi is still on, yet dry, put your hands over a stove (make sure it is not too hot). I usually put a pan there in between so my hands do not burn. Also, when you are taking the mehndi off, do not use water. Try to just take it off with a butterknife. The longer you do not apply water to your hands, the longer the color will continue to become darker. Also, when you take a shower, put plastic bags on your hands so that the water does not touch. Try to leave the mehndi on overnight for the best color (since you are only sleeping in the night, it does not stop you from other daytime activities). Hope I helped!!

Apply lemon juice with sujar water after putting mehendi, when it becomes dry, try to take the vapour of LAUNGA by putting it in tava, keep it whole night, in morning after peeling apply some mustard oil on that. It will definitely work.
