Soccer = football
American Footall = lightweight version of Rugby :P
and if you talk to a football fan (english one ) never call it soccer
it's football, ie ball to foot
the word of soccer came from an old etoneon who also coined the phrase rugga, I wish he had never said the S word as it's football, ball to foot and you kick the ball, not run around with it in your hands.
