The _ and + have no difference. Why that is, because _ is an older way to burn on a disc, and the + is newer. Also, if you are burning movies make sure that you DVD player plays both types..

Generally, DVD-RW is for Computers & DVD Players (files or movies or whatever)

DVD+RW is for DVD Players (movies, films etc.)

DVD-R is more compatable with older dvd players. DVD+R is more compatable with dvd players 2 years or newer but will usually still play the - format.

DVD+R and -R are just the different standards of the media. The difference is basically the burning and reading methods. I think +R is the standard developed by sony and I dont remember about the other one.

first of all, RW is Re-Writable so u can reuse the disk, secondly, -R is more compatible with computers and +R is more compatible with home dvd players but this is less significant today

That's what I'm thinking about, and please anyone who answers, say "Why is DVD+R/ is better than DVD-R on DVD Players and DVD-R is better for Computer use.
