I don't know what happened to you, but I feel bad for you. If you were near here I'd help you work through the trauma.

They can be a serious tool if you know how to use them. Not all spirits are bad-- certainly not "the devil". However, there are ways to keep bad spirits out of a room while you use them, such as casting a circle, that would only let in spirits you specifically invite. This is a great way to contact the deceased, particularly on samhain, as well as a good way to exorcise a ghost from a room or house, and even a way to contact a guardian angel. They are not meant to be used lightly, and are never guarunteed to be safe.

You'd do better to ask why guns and knives are still avalible, or why you an buy cheap disposable razors at a dollar store when there are people who cut themselves and the cheap ones lack anti-nick protection

Ouija boards are not banned because they are a manifestation of a sinister plot by the evil ones to gain entrance into the material world.

They do work in the fashion the evil ones wish them to, which is to sow confusion, and as a portal for evil entities, continue to be sold because enough lawmakers, and influential parties to legislation, are on the same team as the forces of evil.

You may notice, that ouija, is a combination of two words that would translate to yes in French and German, if pronounced properly. An important portal to the forces of evil was in Franche-Comte, a region that has historically been fought over by the Franks(Germans) and the Gauls(French). So even the pronunciation of the name in American culture is an action of Chaos.

Ouija boards are a dangerous as hula hoops.

There is no supernatural connection with Ouija. Its based upon the simple premis of autonomic response to subconscious thought...you could achieve the same results by holding a weighted string over a circle with "yes" and no" on opposite sides. The answer you get comes from YOU, not ghosts, goblins, Satan, demons, Jesus, or aliens. Whatever you do regarding "supernaturalism"...its always going to be about you and your internal emotional responses. Boooooooooo!

So should we ban all board games that you have had bad experiences with or open it up censorship to everyone who has ever had a bad time with a particular board game, because I hate Clue, I can't ever win, I still have nightmares of Professor Mustard in the hallway with a rope and I want it banned as well.

Most people dont believe in it. The Ouija board is used to communicate with spirits. I think, this should be burned if you have one. You will be haunted by the spirit you disturbed by it. Pray the Lord's Prayer before you go to bed and asked for the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Ouija Boards are still available because no one has ever proven them dangerous.
If by chance someone gets seriously hurt, by playing with one and sues .
They could be banned, until then they will be out there for anyone to play with.
Hope this helps.

If they was banned...folks would really think....Ouija Boards must really work..because they're wanting to control them. LOL.....just wood byproducts...and plastic and a metal pin...it's just whatever you make of it..They're made in factory....not drop shipped straight from Hell. In about a week Charlie Brown will be out waiting for the Great Pumpkin.

Because they are a reflection of the people using them.

Common sense would tell a normal person that if they are having bad experiences with an O-board, then perhaps they should not use it anymore.

because they are a good thing. If you know that you`re not ready to play with them, then don`t buy one! for some trained people the Ouija boards are very helpful, but if you don`t have enough experience then of course you`ll have bad experiences with them.
