No, I love Xmas. I think today it is over played and some parents go to the extreme on presents for their children and they must go all year paying off the credit cards. But that's their fault. We just love the fact that we are able to all get together as a family. If someone is depressed when they arrive they can't stay that way long around our crazy family. I love Christmas.

christams is a terribly depressing time for lots of people, but I decided i could be depressed or find things l like about christmas. i probably wont get any presents maybe one piece of junk from work or some tea from the kids again - i have like 8 boxes of tea from them all ready - one time i sent them a wish list but they didnt get the hint still got tea ? so anyway , i stay out of the stores, once my shopping is done - they make me see all the things i want that i cant afford - i like the lights so i put some up in my bedroom arround the mirrow it looks pretty to me when i lay in bed ( by myself ) and do some other little things i enjoy , try to reach out to other people i think wont ahve a very good holiday either, and that makes me feel better. try ot go to a christam thing at church. So try to do some stuff for you just to help yorself througha tought time of the year, and rember life is not all about you sometimes its your job to help someone else. reember no amount of presents makes people happy they /we all ahve after the gifts are opend let down, so try not to get in debt with trying to make someone happy aobut things that dont matter

Yes and no. I'm very excited at the thought of Christmas, I love Christmas, it's my favorite Holiday. But whenever I think of the snow that's coming along with it, it makes me really depressed. I HATE the snow!

no way i love it I'm afraid!! my boyfriend hates it and this is our first Christmas in our new home together and i think he is worried I'm gonna "over Christmas" everything but i am being good and when the time comes im only doing minimal decorations and trying to contain my excitement! its not even about the presents either i just love the whole thing of the family getting together and eating loads and playing games. sorry but when it comes to Christmas i probably get more excited than Santa himself!!

I think that it can be depressing at Christmas for several reasons. First, it is one of the shortest days of the year in the Northeran Hemesphere. That is depressing in itself. Second, I think there are many expectations of what we think we should do at Christmas. Those things don't always materialize. Third, our focus is not where it should be, on Christ and his second coming.

I've always loved Christmas until the past few years...this will make the 3rd holiday since my husband died and the first one I don't really care to remember it, last year was a little better, this year I'm trying to be a little more optomistic and try a little harder for our children....but mostly for me...Thinking about how to try and change our usual routine when he was with us to starting a new tradition....

Not depressed, but it can definitely stress!! What does make it sad is that the holiday has become so commercial, and many people don't really celebrate its true meaning. It's all about the money, not the true spirit.

I know what you mean , commercialization has put too much pressure on everyone because of the gift exchange. The greatest gift is sharing some time with each other.
