Remember this about those at home pregnancy tests, if they are negative you may still be pregnant but if they are positive, you are pregnant.
The only way to know for sure is to have a blood test. You will need a doctor to order it, just call, most doctors are happy to order it for you.
If you cannot do that I would advise waiting another week and doing another test. Your levels of HCG may not be high enough yet. Those are the hormones produced by the developing placenta.
Good luck honey and I hope you get the answers that you are wishing for.
Love and Blessings

when a woman has a child or gets pregnant, the hormones in their body throw their cycle off. since i just had my son, my periods are like almost 40 days apart. This is normal, because your body has so many hormonal changes. And having a miscarriage also has some of the same pregnancy effects. But, it would be best for you to just do a home pregnancy test. Honestly, you have to go to a doctor to become officially considered pregnant, but the tests are quite accurate. Then, if the test is positive, brace yourself, because more than likely you are pregnant.

Pregnancy tests are not 100%. It even says so on the box. Make an appointment with your doctor as soon as possible for a blood test, then you'll know for sure. Sometimes the body goes through little changes, like a change in periods that can throw off your schedule, so it's best to consult with your doctor. Good luck.

Don't fret just because you're a week late. Why do women do this to themselves? Any little thing can throw your cycle off. If you're worried, go to the doctors and have a blood test done.
