Llamedos. I've lived in Switzerland for over 30 years. I think you'll find that Spain has a different attitude towards nationals of their former colonies, to their treatment of illegal immigrants. Most of the invective on this site is aimed at people of a different religion who were actually born in the UK and have bona fide British passports. In the early 90s roughly 50 thousand people per year applied for asylum in Switzerland , (population 7 million) at the same time, the number of asylum seekers in the UK (population 50 million) was about the same.
I'm not talking about difficulties with asylum seekers. I'm talking about the attitude in the UUK. I was verbally attacked, in England, in a pub, because I was speaking German. My companion came originally from Peru, but was a Swiss national, and German was our common language. So it's not just anti-Muslim. I repeat, where does this hate come from?

Felicity - where do you live? Having worked and lived abroad for 18 years and returned to UK 3 years ago, boy, what a shock to the system. I do believe there is good and bad in everyrace, and also live and let live, but there comes a time when you have to say enough is enough. Spain is also in the same predicament as UK. But we don't hear about it because it is surpressed, because that would affect tourism. Unlike UK though, they don't get handouts, or free housing, NHS etc.
I don't think people are full of Hate, they have just had enough!

I do not know how old you are, but England has fought two long and bitter wars, almost to the death, with Germany in the past eighty eight years. The memories are still there. They are bitter memories.

I've seen only a few really nasty answers and I have been pretty quick to report them and give them a bad rating. Also very annoying is the silly answers. If I am going to go to the trouble to ask a question, I appreciate being given a good response, as that is what I try my best to do when I answer one.

don't know what, It simple, man was created by God to please God and if you get off that path man is pretty messed up. stay on that path and your life has purpose and hope. get on the path .
