The big complaint, right or wrong, is that computers can be hacked. There has probably never been a system that couldn't be cheated in some way, but the electronic machines and the programs they use can and will be continually improved, by people from all parties, until the systems will be virtually impossible to cheat. Isn't that an awful lot better than paper ballots?

Vote manipulation has always been possible. With electronic voting becoming more common it will be even easier to "help" the candidate with the most money by putting things in computer programs that will slant election results one way or the other.
