In my school it is a C, if you dont get it then there is an option to resit the GCSE again in the space of a year, but this involves doing coursework and exams again in a shorter time period. I did it though for one of my subjects so it is possible.

some unis only accept ppl with bs

At least a 'C', but preferably higher, schools tend to vary.
