be patient and understanding with her never make an issue out of the wet bed when you give her drinks try not to give her anything fizzy as something in the drink can affect the bladder also when you go to bed you could try and wake her to go to the loo if the problem is ongoing maybe something is worrying her try talking to her or ask someone she is close to to speak to her i wet the bed until i was 13 and when i was older i still had the odd accident i eventually went and seen the doctor i found out i had a weak bladder and had a bladder stretch the problem has vanished since then

One of my daughters was the same. I found that by not making a fuss when she wet, yet praising her when she was dry followed by no drinks for an hour or so before bed (obviously a sip or two if really thirsty but not a whole glass), make her go to the toilet before bed. Also when I went up to bed, I would lift her out of bed and sit her on the toilet. Nine times out of ten she would stay half asleep throughout.
Although it is a nightmare having to keep washing sheets etc she will grow out of it in her own time. Bare with her and stay calm.

Don't worry. My 4 1/2 year old is just getting out of that stage. 1) You don't have to refuse liquids at bedtime, just limit it. Lots of times, he wants a drink, but is satisfied with a very small amount. 2) insist they go to the toilet right before bed. Make it a habit. My little one often gets into bed, stays awhile, then gets up, uses the toilet, goes back to bed and goes to sleep.

It takes time. If necessary, keep her in a diaper at night until she outgrows it.

Mines the same age and only just dry at night.

she goes to bed at 7, I stop drinks after 6pm. I make sure she has a wee before she gets in bed, then I get her up again at 11pm for a wee. Im still doing this, the amount of wee she does at 11 is reducing slowly, so soon I will try for all night.

I know that it sounds cruel, but wake her in the night and take her to the toilet. Soon she will wake up by her self if she needs to go or she will stop bed wetting.

I totally agree with diapering your child if she continues to wet the bed after withholding liquids from her a few hours prior to bedtime. Children hate the thought of a diaper as they are now considering themselves "big girls and boys" and it is a baby-ish thing to them. But, if you find none of this works, have her seen by the doc as she may have a small bladder capacity, or something similar. There are exercises for her if she does. Good luck.

My son's nearly 4 & we have been having this prob, he was still having tea/milk before bed but too near the time, so we let him have that now an hour or so before bed then he has a small cup of water by his bed & it sems to have worked!! (fingers crossed still!) also make sure they go to the toilet before bed!

If you find an answer, let me know. I have a 5 1/2 year old son with the same problem. I'm thinking about getting a bedwetting alarm.

hi bless her hey its not a big thing these things happen but what you should not do is make an issue of this it happens. solution is not an overnight thing it takes time then when you dont realise it stops and your on to the next problem you have to adapt her bed put a matress protector on it to save the bed how about waking her up at 10pm and see if she wants the loo good luck
