It depends on what is more important to you. I was raised in a village in West Africa and now live in the U.S. near a big city. I find that there are many things I miss about life in my village but yet I am so appreciative to see this side of life and a world that I never knew existed. In my village the family bonds were more stronger than they are in this country but in America the almighty dollar provides alot of things that did lack in the village life. My being in this country is seen by my people back home as excellent progress but to myself I often wonder about my new existence. One thing I can say for sure is the two worlds of village and city are as opposite as night and day. I have so much to say on this subject but I am pressed for time right now.

If you are choosing between city life in England or village life in England, I would choose village...but near enough to a train station you can get in to the city quite easily.
I loved living in a village there, but enjoyed being able to go to the museums when I felt like it.

Depends on your age, marital status and lifestyle preferences. I say if you are married with children, the smaller population would probably be best. Single? Depends on if you like peace or excitement more.
