Ban Vegemite, but they have McDonalds on every street corner....Typical!
Vegemite, Marmite...it's high in folic acid (Great if your considering to become pregnant), it is high in salt but hey everything in moderation, it's not like you spread it an inch thick, now is it? unlike Maccy D's coz thats soooo good for you isn't it...NOT!

I just did a search and came up with nothing. It seems only England can understand the attraction to vegemite. The Americans scared themselves off of it by putting too much on or they don't like the colour. Sheesh they don't know what they're missing.
Vegemite is a vegetable extract used to spread on sandwiches, can be added to cooking but is not a meal expander. It is black and when used responsibly it tastes beautiful, millions of people think so.

It is a very reliable source. Turns out the banned vegemite because "Vegemite contains folate, which in the US can be added only to breads and cereals".
I also nhave a definition of folate, it is "A B-complex vitamin that is being studied as a cancer prevention agent. Also called folic acid."
So basically the USA has banned a product that possibly prevents cancer!!!
my question is, why?

I've never seen a place where Vegemite is sold, and I've traveled to most of the states in the U.S.

Vegemite is what exactly?
If its a meat substitute (or food expander) than there are many other products out there that will work. Can't say I heard of a ban on it, but then again, I'm not vegan.
According to a resolved question though, it IS sold in America. Please see below:

I question your sources; I doubt them. On the other hand, maybe the government wanted to save American taste buds.
