I don't think Scott Rolen was wrong. I was actually watching most of this game with the sound off, so I am not influenced by anything Joe Buck and co. might have said. It seemed to me as though Rolen just had a lot of speed (for him) built up going around 3rd, and he made a wide turn (which is allowed).
Inge didn't even look like he paying attention to the play; he was looking towards homeplate while the ball (and Rolen) was coming from the other direction. Also, Rolen didn't really nail Inge that hard. It seemd like Inge was actually walking backwards, away from the 3rd base line, into the path of Rolen, and Rolen was kind of surprised and did all he could not to fall flat on his face.

If you Tigers fans need someone to pick on or an excuse for LOSING last night's game, it is NOT Rolen. Maybe if Inge would've gotten out of the way Rolen wouldn't have rolled over him! We all know how baseball players run on plays like that. Inge should've been out of the way. The play wouldn't have made a difference, people! We WON 7-2! If Rolen was out, we would've won 6-2!

People need to take a closer look at Scott Rolen. He has been a quiet cancer to both the Phillies and now the Cardinals. One of the most selfish players in the games. The only difference between Rolen and T.O. in football is that Owens has a big mouth and Rolen does his damage by undermining management and his fellow teammates. They hated him in Philadelphia specially Larry Bowa. Of course Larry Bowa was a mad man and a legend in his own mind. The point is Rolen used Bowa as an excuse to get traded from Philadelphia because he hated the city and more, he hated the fans.
He went to St. Louis because the fact was the Cardinals were the only team willing to take a chance on him. He has been at odds with management since he got there and, as you all saw, was very upset that Tony didn't play him the other night. It didn't care to him that he was hurting his team both offensively and defensively, he just wanted the spotlight.
Knocking Inge over just plays true to his demeanor. He's a cry baby and a bully. Phillie was glad to get rid of him and I'm sure the day will come when St. Louis will feel the same. Inge was so far away from the baseline it wasn't funny. The umpire blew the call big time.

Rolen is interior the incorrect by way of fact the government is often top. LaRussa has been coping with for a loooong time, so he needless to say is conscious somewhat or 2 with regard to the sport. His 2 international sequence jewelry further help this theory. Watch Rolen in interviews after video games. the guy is impolite and abrupt. i might love for him to stay and in simple terms brush this below the carpet, yet historic previous ability that may no longer going to take place. yet till he proves he can play above Abraham Nunez point, i'm afraid he does not have a leg to stand on.

Although I am a lifetime Tiger fan, I do not think Rolen was wrong. Brandon Inge was sort of drifting backwards after the throwing error and there was a collision.
Scott Rolen was looping wide of third base into foul territory because of his momentum; it was a legal way to run.

Scott Rolen had every right to do what he did,
He was coming a round the bases hard and fast
and Branndon just happened to be in his way.
It's called obstruction.
And yeah it sucked cuz it cost us 2 runs, but that's baseball.

Scott Rolen plays the game as it was meant to be played. HARD. He is the best third-baseman on the planet, and a great guy. I would have him on my team any day.

Quick to judge are ya?
If you watched the replay, you have seen "it just happened". Rolan could have been seriously hurt along with Inge. The home plate ump would not have given Rolan the run.

Rolen is an idiot. He has to do something like this because he is not a dependable player that I would want on my team
