If you're jsut starting out with 2 decks then you don't need that much feature wise.. it's more important to get something that is going to last awhile until you're ready to move up...

Entry level Vestax mixers are nice. Great build quality and a nice sound to them. Here's one

They also do a VMC004 which is pretty much the same but with 4 channels..costs about £60 more but might be worth considering if you have the cash. If you get a CDJ later it means you don't have to buy a new mixer to accomadate it.

They may lack the 'features's of similar priced Numark or Gemeni units etc...but they are nicer to use. And at this price range...making a mixer with effects...it won't be well built and the effects will be pretty dire sounding. I talk from experince...as a DJ and technician in training !

Good luck with the DJ-ing.

I used the Numark DM950 for ages, it really is a quality mixer for beginners.
