I particularly miss our 2 peso coin. I remember... when I was a kid we did art projects and stuff and one of things we did was put coins under a piece of paper and then shade the area of the paper over the coin to get an image of the coin on the paper. The 2 peso coin was my favorite because it's the biggest coin (larger surface area for shading!) and also because I like how the texture of the coconut tree leaves and branches would make my graphite pencil or colored pencil bump around a lot. I also miss the 2 peso coin because of its special decagonal shape. It wouldn't roll like the other coins and you could actually make it stand up.
Andres Bonifacio was on the heads side of the 2 peso coin... they've since just crammed him into the 10 peso bill... Oh well.

Old 2 Peso coins 1861-1868, are made of gold. They have 3 sides like all coins, the obverse, the reverse and the edge or what some call the rim. If you are talking about the 2 Piso coin 1983-1992, then it has what could be called, ten sides, or more correct a decagon. There was a monetary reform in 1967 where the Piso showed up and the Peso became extinct. The first regular issue Piso showed up in 1972 and the 2 Piso as stated above.
