It is a shame when people cannot even give their "cut and paste" references.

Chlamydomonas is usually considered a plant, and classified as a green algae. Although it is mobile (through use of whip-like organelles called flagella), the presence of a double membrane for the outer layer of the cell and chloroplasts which contain the structures necessary for photosynthesis, these are plants.

chlamydomonas is indeed a plant cell because it bears so many parts of cell which are restricted 2 plants only. we all know that chlamydomonas bears chloroplast which is a specialised organelle 4 plant cell. pyrenoids which r made up if proteins & stores starch are also typical plant cell organelle. also dere are so many evidences which make you convince dat "chlamydomonas is a plant cell"

first of all,you need explained(could be long) explanations for you to get it right! So,here is the explanation.'

It is a plant cell.Chlamydomonas is a genus of green alga. They are unicellular flagellates. Chlamydomonas is used as a model organism for molecular biology, especially studies of flagellar motility and chloroplast dynamics, biogenesis, and genetics. One of the many striking features of Chlamydomonas is that it contains ion channels that are directly activated by light, such as channelrhodopsin.

So,that's all about that i can help.
