Chomsky is a thinking man. If that makes him a gatekeeper for the left, so be it. He was using an argument called "reductio ad absurdum" when refering to 911 which of course he acknowledges and accepts as a tragedy.

What he was saying is let us look at the number of people killed by the US war in Iraq and compare it to the number who died in the WTC. Is an American life intrinsically more valuable than an Iraqi life? What about the thousands who die each year from handgun violence?

He is the biggest gatekeeper of them all. He still can't answer any quesions on 9/11, he just says that he does not believe it. He does not even look at the science
