That would depend on your definition of godhood. Do you want omnipotent powers and to be all knowing? or do you want to be worshipped as a deity?
If you want supreme power, well, there is the notion that men create gods. So just get lots of people to worship and believe you are a god and you might just develope a case of godhood. If not, you`ll have the perks of millions of people worshipping you and thats a pretty sweet deal already.
There is also the belief that you can meditate and do some other stuff to join the pantheon. But unless you want to spend the rest of your mortal life in a cave, forget about it. Although after that you can spend your immoratal life partying.
Or try to find some ambrosia, the food of the gods. Finding it may be tough and you might have to fight a hydra or two, but it`ll be worth the effort.
Finally, on earth would you want to be god? Would you want billions of people asking you for help 24 hours a day (or however time is measured in the immortal realm or whatever its called)? Unless you like helping people A LOT i suggest you remain mortal like the rest of us.

Simple.
1: Become self centered
2: discover and build up your inner energy,
3: learn to use that inner energy to do some really cool things like the chinese masters...
4: tell yourself that there is NO GOD but ME
5: Go around and tell people to BOW TO ME or go to a very painful place after they die. (if you have mastered using your inner energy, go to 6)
6: If they don't listen to you, bring about terrific headaches or levitate them
7: Write your own holy book
8: convince all the people you meet that this holy book is THE TRUTH
9: if they don't believe you, repeat step 6
and if you've mastered these steps, you're well on your way to being God. Just go and face down the existing ones in a boxing match or something, and walla!

You cannot be God because you are just a God`s creation. A God is the creator of everything, the beginning and the end. If you don`t know what a God means...and don`t know any way/passages at all...just ask your family & friends yet, okay? You`re ambition would never realized yet in this lifetime..

Join Satanism, they claim that the individual is there own god. Just don't be to upset when you die, even Satanist gods die. As of the ever after for a god like yourself, get some good memories with your new found godhood to keep you company : P

You must be crazy! Who in his sane mind would want to be God?
He takes all responsibility, all blame and yet He must pardon all and finally lead every one to Himself.
He has all the power but He can not do anything on His own - He can only do what is just and right.
He is present everywhere and yet He can not present Himself to any one. No one has seen Him, nor any one can know Him totally, and yet each and everyone has a different definition of God and He has to bear with those distortions, illusions, misgivings and incomplete comprehension about Himself from all His subjects, one and all.

Buy an antfarm. Watch what they do. See them create a cute little civilization. Don't intervene if it looks like they're hurting each other. They'll figure it out. Don't help them if it looks like they're in trouble. Give them freewill. If they start to annoy you, douse them with water. See if they can build a little ark.
Love them from afar. Don't let them see you or hear your voice. Hope that they love you.
(Ok I probably sound sarcastic & angry with God. I'm really not, I love Him. I'm just kidding around. Maybe I'm bitter. Having a bad day at work on 1 hour sleep. Working on Sunday. Day of rest my a$$!)

Create a Universe with many galaxies, in one of the galaxies create a planet called earth, on this planet create land and sea, create fauna and flora and make the mistake of creating man, make a second mistake and create woman...almost there...just infinity more things to do...now sit and watch your beautifull creation as the stupid human beings wreck it and laugh at them when they say stupid things like " I want to be God, show me a way? "...

You already are! The Book of Genesis says that God made you in His image/likeness. The Book of Psalms says that "ye (we) are gods". Jesus said "God is Spirit & we must worship Him in Spirit & in Truth."
A slice of chocolate cake is still chocolate cake. A bucket of water from the ocean is still ocean water, no? Just be the best that you can be in your life, world, and affairs.

but seriosly tho be a good person when you reach a state of inner enlightenment you will be content with what you have but always remember you are man (meant in generic term) and man is forever flawed
