Is it ok to marry someone if you're mostly doing it for the security/stability and you mostly think of them as a best friend or part of the family? What if there was someone else in the picture but you haven't known them as long as the person you're going to marry but they want to be with you and would take care of you and is in love with you?

Marry for love, but look at the person's stability and security as well.

I realize you can't make yourself fall in love with someone, but a situation where you love someone that is unstable won't last and neither will a loveless realtionship with stability.

Wait to marry until you have the whole package.

My aunt told me the best piece of advice she could give me was to marry my best friend. But what happens if your best friend falls in love with someone else?

Has your friend discussed the situation with the intended? Do they both understand what they’re getting into? If they're not honest, the marriage wont last, even if there wasn't a third person in the picture.

Marrying someone for security and stability only, will satisfy your basic human needs, but love and companionship is one of the last human needs that has to be fulfulled for you to be truly happy. So stability would work, but it won't last long.

no no no. why resort to that? feelings and love are important. can you imagine sleeping with someone whom you do not love and hv no feelings for? Be self sufficient and hv lots of friends, that way you will hv security and stability.

As long as no one is being deceived then why a couple marries is between them.

The Bible seems to tell husbands to "love" their wives. The Bible seems to tell wives to "respect" their husbands. Consider saying "I do" to the one you will have the greatest respect for.

Please don't do this.
Marry without love is not able.
Try to find somebody you are in loving him.
