Djourou - Senderos was the best defence in the World Cup. Not one single goal. I'm sorry you can't challenge that. I'm sure Switzerland would have won against Italy had they played seriously against Ukraine. Do you remember Switzerland - Italy 1-1 before the World Cup, the Italian speakers said Switzerland would have been the only team to really give Italy a hard time, he said it and I remember it clearly. My prediction would have been Italy - Switzerland 1-2 (Toni, Gygax, Frei). Switzerland had a different game style and would have really troubled Italy's defence.

This is true. At the beginning of the WC 2006, Serbia and montenegro were said to have the best defense, until argentina smashed them with the 6-0 win. Switzerland did have the best defense by the end of the WC not Italy if really analyzed

Finally a switzerland fan (i thought i was alone in z whole planet)

1st of all they choose best def,atk,scorer......bla bla bla frm the last 4 teams (GER,POR,ITA,FRA)cuz they played all z possible matches

2nd of all if SWI continued the wc they could have conceided goals so they wouldn t be z best defence

im sorry 2 tell zat cuz i adore SWI.
