Each time the government shuts down a nuclear power plant, thats another part of the earth that will never be usable again, but every year they build new power plants, creating more pollution, and less room for animals and people to live. How will we survive in hundreds of years?

Once all or most of the humans are dead from pollution maybe the earth will cleanse itself.

If the people didn't contribute to it through the waste and buying throw away items that would solve 1/3 of the problem. Wait till the people find out what is in the bombs and missiles that have been used in the last 3-4 wars filled with depleted uranium that will kill for thousands of years and leave many deformed children. Also the fuel used in autos is a waste product and has to have additives to even burn so like fluoride they dump it on the stupid people who don't seen to care. Why pay to depose of it, use it and make billions at any cost even the health of there own nation or the world

SIGH

If you put all the human beings on earth together in a REEEEEEALLY tight square, the square will only be 5 miles high and 5 miles wide both ways. If you look at a factory on Google Earth, you can zoom out little by little, and by the time you zoom out, say, 3 times, you can't see the factory anymore, and you can't see what province or town you're in, either.

We're TINY, MINUSCULE, ITTY BITTY little things, and we're really not all that super influential on this planet.

The world is probably headed for a norther "great die off".
Fossil records show that the world has already gone threw several.
The dinosaurs were on the decline Pryor to the meteor strike, they had gone from thousands of types to just a few hundred.
I feel confident with leaders like Bush who are more concerned with pointless wars. I think were headed the way of our dim witted Friends the dinosaurs.

To be honest nuclear power is amongst the least polluting and destructive sources we use these days. Fossil fuels are far more damaging to the environment than nuclear.
It is only greed that keeps away investment in solar power.

Agreed together with the threat of nuclear bombs going off in this century i dont think it will be that long before this poor planet dies. Its slowly dieing now with polution. I feel sooooo sorry for the young generation growing up now. When will successive governments learn? When its too late?

Don't worry it will all be over soon.
I think governments are starting to get the message and it is possible to change the earth's atmosphere if we are quick about it.
The material used is called Carb Absorb but it could be manufactured in gas form.
All we need is enough push to make it happen.
