You can go into liver failure and die. Over use can also cause ulcers in a bad way. It's serious, and if one were to OD on ibuprofen, there would be no turning back....Livers don't grow on trees, and you have to have one in order to live. If you are thinking about this, please seek help. No matter what it is that can be bothering you, you can always change a situation.

Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs are potentially renal toxic. The worst thing about ODing on ibuprofen would be that you woke up after they found you and pumped your stomach but had to live with all the problems you believe you have now BUT now ALSO have to live on kidney dialysis for the rest of your life...

Get counseling, everything gets less painful with time.

ODing on ibuprofen is likely to kill you- at worse.

However, if you do survive, you could end up with liver failure and then die a very slow and painful death which could take days.

Or, you might eventually get over it, and have to have social workers and psychologists helping you deal with the reasons you took this overdose, and obviously be put on medication to try and help you.

Try to OD with the simple aspirin. It is less likely to do permanent damage to kidney and liver or the heart.

The worst thing is death. But if you don't die, probable brain damage, liver damage, or debilitating physical damage like maybe never walking again, or kidney damage and have to stay on dialysis.
