My Dyson is not picking up and seems to be sucking in from the top of the cylinder bin, There is what looks like a yellow plastic vent which has a spring inside of it on the top of the cylinder bin and that is were all the sucking power seems to be.

Does anyone know how to fix it?

Clean and/or replace the filters and check the airways for blockages.

If there is air being drawn into the emergency air relief valve on top of the collection bin, then you definitely have a blockage somewhere in your Dyson. Check through the entire hose, and inspect every u-bend in efforts to finding the blockage.

Have you put the cylinder back in airtightly? Check top seal.
