has to do with the sun being the "fuel".. the energy source. Wind is about heating and cooling over wide areas. Air rising and falling, high and low pressure... Unless there is storm that has stored, and is producing, it's own energy, most wind dies off at night due to a lack of fuel.
WInd at night? Of course, but not often unless it's being forced.

Not entirely. Prevailing winds are caused by the rotation of the Earth and therefore blow at any time of day or night. Likewise, putting it really simply, if a wind is being caused on the other side of the planet air has to rush in to fill the void causing a wind from 'Around the bend', irrespective of whether it's dark or light there.
Wind is a fine example of Brownian motion. Although we know roughly what it's going to do and why, its behaviour can never be predicted 100%.
So the correct answer to the question is, we don't know, on other parts of the planet it doesn't.

There is a reason why, because night time is when the cool temperature drop that wind is not necessary unless it was cloudy. When the cool temperature air dropped, the reverse method occurred is the ground turned warm, that you can feel it when you are swimming at night.

That is not true. In many countries such as Singapore, the most windy time of the day is night.
