When I try to record a second track the first track also records onto it. I am using headphoes, not a speaker, but the click track is still recorded onto the second track. i.e. how do I only allow the microphone to record?

You may need to check the Windows advanced audio settings..

Also, when I want to record a second track using Audacity, I always open a whole new window, rather than simply another track. I can save them down and play with them, or link them or whatever, later.

Hope that helps :)

Hi there,
get Audacity for free here http://j.mp/WhtWtT
It's the best choice.
Cheers ;)
