I did not realize it was on May 25, 2001....but, I was thrilled for that person. I think it is incredible to accomplish your dream (regardless of your physical abilities)

I am rarely impressed by "firsts" anymore. There are so many contrived "firsts" and "world records" and such these days that they obscure true achievements. Congratulations to the blind climber but it didn't change the world or open any new doors for other blind people.

I was impressed, as I always am by people who concentrate on their abilities rather than their disabilities.
