iv,e borrowed my sons v.w. touran where is the release for the fuel cap! any idea?

If it isnt next to the drivers seat on the floorboard closest to the door, then look in the glovebox andsee if there is a release button. If not, while you are in the glovebox , remove the owners manual and read it. You shoul be able to locate it in the book and find the release from there. Fill it up!

If it's not at the side of the drivers seat, it should be just under the dash board, maybe around the hood latch or emergency brake and should have a pic of the gas lid flipped open, or say something about the fuel lid.

Stop at the nearest garage, ring your son, if no answere explain and ask someone at the garage.
