An iPod is an MP3 player too! Its just a brand of MP3 player.

To know how many songs you can hold on any MP3 player you need to look at the size of its storage device..for instance:

1GB = 240 songs
2GB = 500 songs
4GB = 1,000 songs
8GB = 2,000 songs
30GB = 7,500 songs
80GB = 20,000 songs

You may also want to use the device for other purposes such as storing and viewing videos or photos.

Other factors to consider apart from storage capacity may well include battery life, size and styling of the player.

You may want to look at some MP3 specialist review websites such as:

it depends. an ipod IS an mp3 player! so it depends on what mp3 player you buy the more GB it has the more songs or files you can put on it. For example I have an Ipod 1GB it holds about 250-270 songs. I also have an m:robe mp3 player/ camera I forgot if it's 30GB or 60 GB but it will hold like 5000+ songs! Now the question is how long will it take for me to fill that! if it only took 1 min per song for me to download (which it so doesn't you have to put the CD in your computer than download it etc.) that would take me 5000+ minutes!!! ACK! 60 minutes per hour you do the math.

an iPod IS an mp3 player. It's up to you which brand you want to buy. But if you want something that can hold an entire album song collection, i suggest the new apple ipod video which has an 80gig capacity. I'm sure it'll take you time before you run out of storage in this one. Although the price is a but hefty, but the product is definitely worth your money!

Haha, an iPod may well be extra ideal. easily they are 2 diverse record types- wma will take in much less memory than an MP3, subsequently you could carry extra songs whilst they are WMAs. And in simple terms as a be conscious, I used to have a Sansa, and that they are fairly pungent. iPods are incredibly that lots much less complicated to apply.

it depends on the capacity of the player that you're gonna buy. the more gigabytes (gb) your player, the more songs you can store.

ipod nanos come in 1, 2, and 4 gb, while ipod videos come in 30 and 60 gb.

mp3 players come in different capacities, as it is very generic, but in my experience never have i seen an mp3 player larger than 20gb. (i just dunno in your place/country)

so if it's really the amount of songs that you can load up on your player that you're more concerned, always look/ask for the capacity. merry christmas in advance.

No clue. You can put 8 hours of songs on an MP3, and no idea how many videos,songs,etc. you can put on an IPOD.

you should get an MP3 because they are cheaper and generally hold more songs and they don't break as easily(most iPods will break after a year)
