i forgot to add the context of that verse:

2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

2:12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

"THE strong delusion" I do not know, but, a strong delusion of its own accord would be some kind of attractive distraction, a big temptation meant to pull someone from their set desired path.

God does not give us all of the answers. Relationships take work and if you are seeking God with your heart, and following His commands, He will take care of you. The delusion remember is for those who do not accept His Son, His love or His provision for us. If you have a relationship with Christ, follow His teachings and commit your life to Him, do not worry. But also, beware of other teachings, or things that do not line up with His word. Many have gone astray through false prophets and teachings. You will need to press in as close to Him as possible, especially in the coming years as we enter the end phase of this life. The Earth is changing and we are entering the beginning of the end of life as we know it. Just be prepared spiritually for whatever happens and put your trust in Him. Trust that you will spend eternity with Him and not be lost forever.

Paul is talking about the anitchrist. . Because so many have refused to accept Christ as their Savior, the antichrist will be "allowed" to look good, tempt, sway the ones that are already condemned.

You got me with that one; I don't know a Thessalonian from a thermometer!
Unless....hmmmm....perhaps George W. Bush is the "strong delusion"!
