I bought a king-size duvet two years ago when I was in the UK and I put it in a queen-size duvet cover I bought in the US. It fits my US queen-sized bed just fine.

You can use any size of quilt I suppose but the bed (mattress) sizes are-

US Queen 60"x80" 1.5x2.05m

UK Double 54"x75" 1.35x1.9m

UK Slightly smaller
