Does anyone agree with me that it is the most boring 15 minutes on radio?

No to listening and yes to it being boring.

I listen to it often. I find it far better than most of the junk on tv these days. I think many people find it boring because the plot moves at a realistic pace (we are used to Eastenders speed where an affair lasts a week and a murder is forgotten in a fortnight).
If you don't like it turn to Radio 6 Music for 15 mins and turn back for the next Radio 4 show!

And I am 26 - so I am certainly not that old.

My nan listens every day - has done for years.

I would think that once the current population of 55+ people in the UK dies out, so will the Archers. Surely no-one under that age listens to it, and from what I have heard at my nans, there is nothing to commend it to new listeners either.

Yes I do and have done so for many years. Although it is on every day I listen to the omnibus episode on Sunday morning, am doing so now. There are some good story lines and some not so good, it is not always boring..

I use to listen to the Archers when i was younger-it seemed to be a lot more interesting then. Now you get the feeling they're trying to compete with other soaps and their storylines don't seem to grab you. In trying to become more interesting they seem to have lost something-homely storylines. Seems anything goes now. Maybe they're aiming at a different demographic audiance now. Time maybe to pull the plug?

I've listened to it a few times but never got into it. My mum's been a devoted fan since before I was born.
