Hi there,

Unless you cannot afford to pay for a security solution, I would avoid free programs such as AVG, Spybot and Adaware. These used to be great programs a couple of years ago, but using these three programs combined now only protects you from less than 60% of the threats out there today. These really aren't up to the task of protecting you today and I would personally recommend you avoid.

Looking at the latest mainstream protection scores it's currently Kaspersky that comes out on top (although seems to generate a high number of false positives), ahead of McAfee and then Norton. However, these scores are all currently dwarfed by another program called Prevx1. This is an all-in-one-solution that protects against all forms of infection (virii, spyware, adware, trojans, rootkits, etc), and has proven to have the strongest protection and clean-up capabilities of all security products available today.

Besides being inherently stronger than conventional security products, Prevx1 also protects against new malware threats that most popular security products do not. Regular security products have to find a new piece of malware, test it in the laboratory, before creating a signature and making it available for their product to download to your PC. This often takes several days. During this time, your PC is not protected. Prevx1 however, defends your PC from new malware immediately, even without signatures.

This alone is what makes Prevx1 currently the best security solution you can get.

I suggest u to use the combination of Norton and the Lavaosoft adware Antispyware to protect ur system. Norton has the biggest databas eof the virus siignature files and thus protects us from maximum of existent of the viruii. Along with that use Ad-aware as it blocks and removes spywares n trojans from ur systm. These trojans n spyware downloads malicious scripts and the virii from the internet.

So download the duo from here, aong with some other utilities and they are free no registration required

The really major trouble is that you are thinking within the box that Microsoft built, and then abandoned.

Microsoft doesn't fight the "114,000 Microsoft Virus Definitions" anymore.

The 45,000 machines running Microsoft.com, MSN.com, Hotmail.com, the firewalls, routers, and 400 lab systems servers at Redmond all run Linux. Hotmail.com since before 1997. The last Microsoft server conversion to Linux was in 2005.

Why the run on Mac's? zero virus attacks.
BSD ( Mac OS X),Linux, Solaris, all are clones of Unix. Virus free.

get a free download. Run it live in the LiveCDrom. comes with 1900 free programs and apps. like, games, suites, browsers.

It is simply time to start saving all your time, money, energy. Stop wasting time fighting, just like Microsoft has decided to do.

The bottom line savings from switching to Linux, are $1Billion, for Microsoft. Same as IBM mentioned in their switch to Linux in 2000.

LiveCD boots in the CD, runs in the RAM disc. http://pclinuxos.com is what all my school kids run, upto 50X faster on the same machines.

i might advise Norton 360. easily while you're thinking of identifying to purchase for Norton 360 , then it would not make experience to evaluate Norton information superhighway protection 2010, via fact that Norton 360 already provides that. McAfee is likewise a solid one. I even have considered F-shield is likewise a solid. quite the factor you're experiencing with loose utility would not be the comparable with paid utility like the above. those paid utility provides a much greater efficient consumer adventure than loose utility. it is from my adventure. One i used homestead windows XP with Norton anti virus. The adventure replaced into lots greater efficient than i had with pirated utility. XP got here with my workstation as a OEM product. Now i could no longer have the money for the pricing of vista or homestead windows seven (7). So i replaced to loose utility (open source) Linux .while you're like me then who generally does surfing and a few rfile modifying. Then i might strongly advise you utilize Ubuntu 9.04 or 9.10. It replaces your homestead windows with Linux and all of the utility we require. And it devoid of value and it works great. not greater virus or something to be hectic approximately. in basic terms chuffed surfing.

It is better to create your own suite.
I suggest Kaspersky or Nod32 and Agnitum Outpost Firewall.
Outpost include anti-spyware in it's firewall.
